Splitsville Entertainment is Canada’s premier chain of family entertainment centres! Our modern facilities combine state-of-the-art 10 pin bowling, high-quality casual dining, arcades, laser tag, and other entertainment options to make your visit a one-of-a-kind experience.

We also offer private event space and are a favourite destination for kids’ birthday parties, corporate events, holiday parties, private parties, family gatherings, community groups, fundraisers, and more! All of our locations are home to a variety of established leagues and social clubs, but always welcome new bowlers and leagues.

Strong two-way communication between managers and staff is critical part of our culture. Guest Service / Front Desk Agents

Do you know what it means to make a great first impression? Our GSA’s serve as the face of Splitsville Entertainment, providing exceptional guest care from the moment a visitor walks in. They know how cool it is to connect & how to make first-time guests feel like regulars and make regulars feel like good friends.

As our FUN Ambassador in this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • oversee the flow of walk-in customers versus those with reservations
  • take names & communicate with guests on our waiting list
  • casually suggesting/selling food & beverage or access to our games (like our games rooms or laser tag, etc.) while our guests are waiting for a lane.
  • provide our customers with the proper equipment
  • ensure equipment is clean and organized
  • track lane availability, and maximizing lane usage
  • and follow all cash-control procedures when ringing sales at the front counter.

Line Cooks

Our Cooks prepare stand-out selections from our delicious menu, following the specs from our F&B manual so that we’re able to keep quality high and our costs low.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving food and supply orders
  • Properly rotating food and abiding by health departments regulations
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
  • Follow menu specs and carry out checklists such as: prep lists, line checks, temperature checks, freezer pulls, etc.
  • General cleanliness and sanitation
  • Preparing great food efficiently
  • Preparing large quantities of food for corporate events

Requirements:

  • Lift and carry 25 or more pounds.
  • Work days, evenings, and/or weekends as required including all holidays.
  • Have or in the process of getting Food Handlers Certification
  • Must have regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must have reliable transportation as bus routes stop running prior to close
  • Able to work independently and as a team player
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must

Server

We provide an exciting and upscale entertainment experience for our guests with VIP Lounges & Bars, Restaurants, Modern Event Party Rooms, Large Playdium Arcades, and State of the Art bowling facilities.

Our Servers model world-class service and efficiency with every single interaction. They’re responsible for taking menu orders and delivering our stellar food & beverage selections to our valued guests in a pleasant and timely manner.

  • Splitsville Servers ring orders, accept payments and make change for our guests,
  • You’ll be sure to comply with all alcohol service regulations and provide responsible alcohol sales and service to our guests, demonstrating our exceptional commitment to class-leading service with each and every guest interaction.
  • Our Servers are light on their feet and always at the ready to provide our guests with world-class service, assisting in the delivery of F&B items, reviewing orders for accuracy, and coordinating with the Kitchen and Bartenders to ensure that guest expectations have been met (or exceeded) at every turn.
  • When a guest asks a question or makes a request, our Servers respond promptly and courteously.
  • Servers also take ownership for the physical state of the venue, ensuring that our dining and seating areas remain clean and organized.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service, serving experience.
  • Must have or be willing to complete Smart Serve training and must meet age requirements for serving alcohol.
  • Must demonstrate ability to clearly communicate with other team members.
  • Must be disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Available to work evening, weekends and possibly holidays.

Key Holder / Shift Leader

Our Shift Leaders supervise centre employees as the resident “managers-on-duty” when the centre’s General Manager, Assistant GM, or Operation Manager is not on-site, overseeing cash accountability and key control.

Shift Leaders are mentors to our staff—setting high standards for service, coaching associates when necessary, and working with our management team to ensure that our service model is being adhered to and executed properly.

Shift Leaders are highly visible to our customers and employees—especially during our busiest times—providing personalized customer service, addressing customer complaints, and resolving issues between employees as needed.

And, in case you were interested, shift leaders who make a name for themselves also make great candidates for assistant management opportunities.

Mechanic

Our Experienced Mechanics are the “ER docs” of our facilities.

They’re the ones who maintain and repair our pinspotters/setters, our lane and scoring equipment, and our other centre equipment, making urgent repairs and performing preventative maintenance as needed.

These mechanics are also mentors, setting an example for safety procedures, encouraging others to follow these guidelines, and helping train new mechanics with all the typical troubleshooting that comes their way—from pin jams and ball return calls to other malfunctions that can occur while our guests are bowling.

FAQ

What steps are you taking to make it safe during COVID?

We’ve put in place a number of health & safety procedures to ensure the safety of our guests and Team Members. You can read the detailed list of procedures on our COVID-19 page.

How many people can go on a lane?

There is a maximum of 6 people per lane.

How long does it take to bowl a game?

A good rule of thumb is to assume it takes one hour to bowl four games. That could be one person bowling four games, or four people bowling one game each. Generally, groups of four or more usually bowl two hours. This allows for time to socialize and enjoy themselves without feeling rushed.

Are you able to eat and drink at the lanes?

Yes! We have full service on our lanes. Order from the same menu you would if you were seated in our restaurant area, including the cocktails menu.

Can I have a private party at Splitsville?

Yes, you can! We host children’s birthday parties, company events, private parties, team celebrations, school event, fundraisers, and more! Our unique event space allows you to book a party that utilizes some or all of our amazing facilities. Many of our locations have private party rooms an lounge areas you can also book. For more information, please contact a Splitsville Event Planner at your nearby location.

Can we hold a company meeting at Splitsville?

Yes. Many of our locations offer private meeting rooms that are equipped with wireless internet service and projectors. We can take care of all your equipment needs with some prior notice. Our Event Planning Menu also provides you with numerous options to feed your group.

What is glow in the dark bowling?

Glow in the dark bowling (sometimes called cosmic bowling) is when the lights are low and we run black light and special light shows! Imagine bowling in a nightclub. During glow in the dark bowling, we also turn the music up and play videos on our screens.

Can we provide our guests with drink tickets for our private event?

Yes you can, drink tickets can be provided for your guests or you can run an open bar. Simply indicate how many tickets you would like per person and if you wish our staff can hand them out while your guests get their shoes.

How much notice to I have to give to book an event?

It depends. Our busiest times of year are around the holidays and our busiest days are generally on weekends. Our busiest days can be sold out six to eight weeks in advance.

Can we rent the entire center?

Yes, we call this a buyout. In order to accommodate a buyout, we need as much notice as possible. We are limited to the number of times we can cancel a regular event, so if you want the entire center for your event we suggest giving as much notice as possible.

How many people can you accommodate?

This number varies from center to center. Please contact an Event Planner at one of the locations for an accurate number.
