Bowling Era Sweepstakes Terms & Conditions

THE CONTEST IS ONLY OPEN TO CANADIAN RESIDENTS (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW AND THE LAWS OF THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).

Contest Period: The contest begins on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 12:00am EST and ends on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 11:59pm PST.

Eligibility: The contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry.

Employees of Splitsville Entertainment/Xtreme Bowling Entertainment Corporation, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the contest.

How to Enter:

Book a bowling lane online at splitsville.ca at any participating Splitsville location in Canada and use offer code BOWLINGERA to receive a contest entry.
Visit any participating Splitsville location in Canada and book a bowling lane in person to receive a contest entry.
No purchase necessary contest entry: In 500 words, tell us why you love coming to Splitsville. Mail your entry to Splitsville Entertainment (9-505 Iroquois Shore Road, Oakville, ON L6H 2R3). Entries must be received by September 8, 2024 at 11:59pm EST. Entry must include full name, address, and email address.

Bonus Entries: When visiting a participating Splitsville location, guests may qualify for bonus contest entries by purchasing:

an arcade playcard valued at $30 or more (before taxes)
food and beverages valued at $30 or more (before taxes)
featured cocktail “The French Blonde” (must be legal drinking age, please enjoy responsibly)
laser tag at Burlington location
mini-golf at Richmond Hill location

Each qualifying purchase gets you another entry into the contest.

Contest Draw Dates:

Grand Prize Draw: Friday, September 13, 2024 at 9 pm EST.
Monthly prize pack draws: June 13, July 13 and August 13, 2024 at 9pm EST.

Prizes:

Grand Prize: One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries and receive:

Two (2) floor tickets to Taylor Swift The Eras Tour concert in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be resold or transferred (digital concert tickets will be provided to winner one day in advance of event). No cash value. The Corporation reserves the right to change the prize offering throughout the contest period.
Transportation*, accommodation, food and drinks, and any other incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to herein as part of the prize description are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and/or guest(s), where applicable. The winner shall not seek reimbursement from the Corporation.

*If the winner’s local Splitsville centre is in Alberta or British Columbia, the grand prize will include a $1000 airline voucher. Airline voucher is not included if the winner’s local Splitsville centre is in Ontario. The winner’s local Splitsville centre is determined by location of contest entry.

Monthly prize packs: On June 13, July 13 and August 13, 2024, one (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries and receive:

A Bowling Era inspired prize pack valued at $150 CAD.
Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash value.
Prize must be picked up at winner’s local Splitsville centre.

Winner Selection: Winners will be contacted by email and given five (5) business days to respond. Winners must successfully answer a skill-testing question to claim prize. The Corporation shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to winners’ spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.

If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within the timeframe, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

General:

The contest is sponsored by Splitsville Enterainment/Xtreme Bowling Entertainment Corporation (the "Corporation").

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of the Corporation with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.

By entering the Contest, each entrant releases and holds the Releasees harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrants or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.

Corporation reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Corporation that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Corporation reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

Corporation reserves the right to deem ineligible and exclude from the Contest any contest entry that Corporation, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines does not meet the Contest Rules.

Corporation’s right to use your name and photo/likeness: Winners acknowledge that their name and photo/likeness can be used in electronic and print materials by the Corporation in relation to the Contest. By accepting a prize, you irrevocably, perpetually, and without limitation, grant the Corporation the right to use, publish, adapt, sub-license, edit, dispose of, and/or modify photos and videos taken of prize winners in any and all media worldwide in electronic and print materials, and waive all your rights, including moral rights, without notice or compensation, and agree that you may be required to sign a release to that effect.

All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Corporation reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Corporation – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Corporation deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Contest Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Corporation in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Corporation. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

Any attempt or suspected attempt to use robotic, automatic, programmed, or otherwise, illicit means to enter the Contest, or any other methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, shall be deemed as tampering and may disqualify you from entering, participating, winning prizes, and preclude you from participating in future contests and promotions, at the sole discretion of Corporation. Entries that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions the Contest Rules will be void. All Entries become the property of Corporation upon receipt. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of receipt.

Without limitation, the Corporation, its advertising and promotion agencies will not be liable for any failure of the website during the Contest; for an technical malfunction or other problems relating to computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any Entry to be received by the Corporation for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or any combination of the above.

In the event of a dispute, Entries will be deemed to have submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an online entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected Entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid online Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Corporation, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Corporation’s Privacy Policy (available at: https://www.splitsville.ca/privacy-policy) unless the entrant otherwise agrees to receive further communications from Corporation.
